Fabulous Getaways across India under Rs. 6000

Itching to head out of the city to experience peace and tranquility? Don’t worry my friend you have come to the right place. During my tenure as a travel consultant, I was frequently asked by clients, friends and relatives to recommend short, off-beat and fabulous getaways which would go easy on the pocket.

So, I decided to conduct an extensive search on affordable, offbeat and boutique escapes for some of the top metropolitan cities in India. While doing so, my mantra was simple:

  1. Select destinations that are easily accessible by road.
  2. Properties in these destinations should be located in non touristy areas.
  3. The tariff of these properties should be equivalent to the ambience, experiences and services they offer i.e. maximum value for money.

Based on this I was able to shortlist a bunch of properties that range from Airbnbs to Tea Bungalows to Heritage Homestays. Hope this helps 🙂
