Bangalore is dotted with sprawling breweries which are making way for growing boozy hounds. Rain, hail or shine, we ‘luru-ites’ love our beer. One such establishment that takes it’s brew and food seriously is Brewklyn Microbrewery. Here’s reasons of why it’s slowly climbing up our list of the nicest breweries in town.
Buzzing Vibe
With urban-industrial interiors and a pub-like ambiance, it’s easy to see why Brewklyn Microbrewery is a favourite among office-goers and regulars. Spread across two floors, the creative design of the restaurant unveils a scenic view of the city with its multiple levels encompassing an open terrace and an alfresco dining area. The breweries décor features graffiti and quirky quotes about beer. In addition, the first floor hosts a pool table and roomy booths for that extra fun and privacy. Old school rock and chart toppers will keep you company in the music department, so if you’re looking for some serious fun, chill vibes and a Bangalore-style atmosphere, you’re in for a treat.

Pursuit of Hoppiness
Being a brewpub at heart, one can fuel up on six of their signature brews. Therefore, you can pick from the crowd-pullers like Saison – The Streisand (a specialty pale ale, carbonated with fruity and earthy characteristics), Ale Capone – New England IPA (heavily hopped but unlike it’s cousins, has a pleasant bitterness due to the fruity and floral flavours) or Iron Mike – Dark Wheat Porter (a bitter sweet wheat beer with an aftertaste of coffee, chocolate and caramel)
But if a light and breezy beer is what you prefer, we recommend – Brewklyn’s finest – Belgian Wit (brewed with special malts, orange and coriander, offering a fruity and spicy aftertaste) or Woody Ale’n – British Pale Ale (brewed with special English biscuit hops, giving you a full bodied malty beer with hints of honey and spice).
However, Biggie – German Lager (German hops and malts from Vienna brewed to create a classic full-bodied beer with toasty flavours and mild bitterness) took the back seat, as it somehow didn’t seem to please. And if chugging down beer ain’t your style, make sure to save some loving for their quirky beer cocktails. Trust us, the beer snob in you will vanish into thin air.

Nothing like freshly brewed beer on tap!

Cheers to that
Expect on-point pub grub which works well with your beer and cocktails. Think Jalapeno Cheese Bites, Cheese and Paneer Cigars, Tawa Lamb, Bacon Wrapped Prawns and more. It’s a never-ending foodie wonderland and we’re not even talking mains and desserts yet! The rest of the menu features crowd-pleasers ranging from pizzas and pastas to other international favourites like Mushroom Lasagna and Fish & Chips. But what caught our attention was the Seafood Biryani. Who would have thought a pot of slow cooked fish and prawn biryani, served in a Microbrewery of all places would taste so good. But damn, it did!
Desserts were absolutely mouth-watering with dishes such as Chocolate Fondant and the much-recommended Baked Cheesecake; a boozy take on the classic cake and ice cream dessert, to finish a trip here.
